As aProject Manager, Land Use & Licensing,you’llmanage the licensing and regulatory coordination for healthcare projects,partnering closely withinternalmedical planningandregulatory affairsteams,externaldesign teams,and authorities havingjurisdiction In this hybrid role based in Palo Alto,you’llbe onsiteon Mondays and Wednesdays, with flexibility to work from home on other days unless project needsrequireattendance. Success in this role meansanticipatingregulatory requirements, guiding teams through CDPH and OSHPD processes, and keeping projects moving smoothly across multiple stakeholders.
What you’ll bring:
• 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare design or regulated environments
• Strong understanding of licensing workflows for healthcare spaces
• Experience interacting with CDPH and OSHPD (preferred)
• Architecture degree; licensed architect preferred
• Clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to simplify complex requirements for diverse partners

The Facilities Planning & Design(FPD) business unit leads the planning, design, and improvement of Stanford Health Care’s spaces to advance excellence in care, innovation, and experience. Withexpertiseacross Planning, Design, Land Use & Licensing, Art, Wayfinding, Signage, and Facilities Administration, FPD turns vision into reality, creating functional, compliant, and inspiring environments aligned with Stanford Medicine’s mission.
The Land Use & Licensingteam guides long-range planning, entitlements, and sustainability initiatives that advance Stanford Medicine’s growth and mission. Combiningexpertisein architecture, planning, construction, and healthcare, the team oversees licensing, compliance, and government relations with precision and collaboration. The work ensures regulatory alignment, sustainable development, and seamless coordination across the enterprise.
A Brief Overview
The Design and Construction Project Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day efforts related to programming, planning, design, construction, and activation of small projects for the Stanford Health Care (SHC) under the general supervision of the Director. Ensures completion of projects within budget, on schedule, while meeting all program objectives and appropriate governmental regulations. Also acts as a liaison between the client/users and all other project participants including consultants, contractors, vendors, and outside jurisdictional agencies.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $66.52 - $88.14 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
