Job Description

A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a major multi-year project based in Killarney, Co. Kerry. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a project from pre-construction stage through to delivery, playing a key role in shaping and driving the programme from the outset. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, planning expertise, and experience managing large-scale developments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project from pre-construction through to completion and handover, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and quality standards
• Develop and manage the master project programme, coordinating design, procurement, and construction phases
• Identify and mitigate risks at early project stages, ensuring smooth mobilisation and execution
• Oversee procurement strategy for subcontractors and materials in line with programme and budget
• Manage the design process, ensuring timely delivery of information and resolution of design queries
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and promote a strong safety culture from project commencement
• Chair regular project, design, and site meetings, ensuring clear communication and reporting across all stakeholders
• Implement and monitor quality assurance systems throughout all phases of the project
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key project stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a Project Manager role within main contracting
• Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects from pre-construction stage through to completion
• Strong knowledge of planning, procurement, and project delivery methodologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and planning software such as MS Project
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance requirements
