This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business project. Plans, initiates, and manages moderately complex projects, serving as a liaison between business and project team. Plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage, monitoring progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met. May lead and guide the work of project team members and be responsible for more complex (IT) projects.
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling resources, procedures, and timing for specific initiatives within the ServiceNow CMDB platform. Plans, initiates, and manages moderately complex projects, serving as a liaison between multiple teams within the infrastructure and business portfolios. Plans project stages and assesses business implications for each stage, monitoring progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.
The role is responsible for end-to-end ownership of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) in ServiceNow, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and operational reliability of configuration item data across infrastructure and business applications. This position combines hands-on administration—such as overseeing discovery processes, integrations, data quality controls, and stakeholder governance—with project-oriented responsibilities including leading CMDB enhancements, driving onboarding and lifecycle initiatives, and executing roadmap improvements that strengthen service visibility and ITSM outcomes. The individual partners closely with infrastructure, application, and service management teams to support change impact analysis, compliance activities, and continuous improvement efforts, while applying structured project management practices to prioritize work, track progress, and deliver measurable improvements to CMDB health and organizational service maturity.
Responsibilities:
Monitors progress and performance against the project plan, taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays.Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the assigned project, including coordinating with contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.Develops project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, selects materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors to optimize the project outcomes.Designs, communicates, and implements project execution plan for completing the assigned project.Identifies, develops, and gathers the resources to complete the assigned projects, including coordinating with contractors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the organization receives satisfactory standards of service.Conducts meetings and prepares reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team, including management and leadership.Stays informed about current PMO trends and overall business to understand and advise on aspects of the project.Manages all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.Designs, communicates, and implements project execution plan for completing the assigned project.Liaises with other operational areas in the organization to secure specialized resources and contributions for the project.
