📋 Tasks and responsibilities

For an industrial site in Olen, we are seeking a Project Manager to drive technical projects from initial study through execution and final handover. The assignments cover production installations, infrastructure and R&D-related initiatives within a project engineering setting.

You will take full ownership of assigned projects, whether they are just starting or already in progress, and ensure they are delivered in line with scope, timing and stakeholder expectations.

• Define scope, deliverables, budget and planning together with the relevant stakeholders.
• Build, coordinate and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
• Supervise the technical design across the full project scope.
• Draft specifications and tender documentation for suppliers, engineering partners and contractors.
• Contribute to the selection of suppliers, engineering companies, contractors and specialist support.
• Steer and monitor internal and external resources throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project changes and translate approved modifications into the execution plan.
• Report on progress, risks and key decisions to stakeholders and management.

📝Your profile

• You have 3 to 5 years of experience managing end-to-end projects, from pre-study to implementation and delivery.
• You have successfully completed at least 5 relevant projects as Project Manager.
• You are familiar with standard project management methodologies and planning approaches.
• You have experience with MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
• You bring a technical background as an engineer or project engineer.
• You have broad technical knowledge across disciplines such as mechanics, electricity, piping and civil works.
• You have knowledge of or experience in the process industry.
• You combine strong analytical skills with a broad helicopter view.
• You bring technical insight in domains such as electromechanics and chemistry.
• You communicate clearly and report in a structured way.
• You are a team player who can interact effectively with stakeholders at different levels.
• You are able to guide and coach a team and challenge proposed solutions when appropriate.
• You ask the right questions and show a strong interest in technology, engineering and project management.
• You are fluent in Dutch and have a very good command of English.
• You hold a VCA-VOL certification.
• You are available to work 100% onsite in Olen, with occasional travel abroad if needed.

Interview process

The selection process includes an initial interview via Teams, followed by an onsite interview with a site visit and case study.
