The role

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of industrial plant engineering and construction projects, from conceptual planning and engineering design through procurement, construction, commissioning, and project closeout. The role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements, engineering standards, and client expectations.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, monitoring, commissioning, and close-out of industrial engineering and construction projects.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Oversee the engineering design process, coordinating with engineers, consultants, and the Piping Draftsman to ensure accurate and constructible designs.
  • Review and validate engineering drawings, technical specifications, material grades, equipment datasheets, and piping systems in compliance with ASME, API, ANSI, and other applicable standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of Contract Scope of Works to define project deliverables, execution boundaries, and contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate technical and commercial proposals from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure alignment with project scope, quality, and budget requirements.
  • Manage general contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and field teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality construction execution.
  • Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and equipment while minimizing cost overruns and material wastage.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, quality, safety, and contractual compliance, implementing corrective actions to address risks, delays, and performance issues.
  • Administer project contracts, including variation orders, change requests, progress billing, and commercial negotiations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing, inspections, punch listing, and project handover activities to ensure successful project completion.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, providing regular project updates and ensuring effective communication throughout project execution.

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • PRC Licensed Professional Engineer or Licensed Architect is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Construction Occupational Safety and Health (COSH) certification is highly preferred.
  • At least 8–10 years of experience in engineering and construction project management.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a Project Manager, Project Lead, or Engineering Manager capacity overseeing industrial engineering or plant construction projects.
  • Proven experience managing industrial, manufacturing, chemical, power, oil & gas, water treatment, or heavy industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering design coordination, piping systems, mechanical equipment installation, and industrial utilities.
  • Experience managing fixed-price, EPC, or design-and-build construction projects.
  • Proficient in MS Project or Primavera P6 for project scheduling and control.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, scope management, variation orders, procurement processes, and material take-offs.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, piping isometrics, P&IDs, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
