Project Manager II – Plant Asset Data

Travel: Up to 50% (day and overnight travel required)
The Project Manager II – Plant Asset Data leads the coordination, execution, and implementation of asset data improvement initiatives across Generation facilities. Operating within the Operations Data team, this role manages multiple plant-specific asset and data remediation projects including plant walkdowns, P&ID reviews (including CAD work), asset identification and labeling, and O&M procedure reviews between plant personnel and vendors.
This position serves as the central point of contact for cross-functional coordination among engineering, operations, supply chain, asset management, technology teams, and external vendors. The role requires strong project management capabilities, heavy industrial experience, and preferably utility industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Implementation
- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of asset data remediation projects
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
- Facilitate meetings, track action items, and ensure stakeholder alignment
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate transition from current asset data models to standardized enterprise models
- Support change management, training, and adoption initiatives
Project Objectives
- Improve asset data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
- Enhance usability and accessibility of asset data across business units
- Establish foundational data governance and control frameworks
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Asset Data Strategy including:
- Governance
- Controls
- Remediation
Project Deliverables
- Assess existing asset data models and related systems across Generation
- Identify and document business requirements for a unified asset data model
- Develop standardized asset data models aligned with industry best practices
- Gather and document stakeholder input across:
- Engineering
- Supply Chain
- Projects
- Asset Management
- Operations & Maintenance
- Technology
- Establish governance policies, procedures, and defined roles
- Execute transition plan and oversee implementation
- Provide communication, documentation, and training support
Required Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of power plant, power delivery, or heavy industrial experience
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience
- Experience managing cross-functional technical projects
Education
- Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field (preferred)
- PMP Certification (preferred)
Preferred Experience
- Mechanical and/or Electrical design experience
- CAD experience or CAD Developer Certification
- Utility industry experience strongly preferred
