The IT Project Manager II is required to lead multiple projects through all lifecycle phases in support of IT. They are responsible to deliver projects on time and within budget and scope.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages large multimillion-dollar projects that have significant business implications; delivers projects on schedule and on budget; proactively manages project finances and forecasting.
  • Documents project objective, scope, and deliverables; Defines project tasks and resource requirements.
  • Schedules and attends cross functional project meetings, including preparing agendas, taking notes, sending out relevant updates, etc.
  • Coordinates internal resources and third-party vendors for execution of projects.
  • Delivers moderately complex project plans reflecting interdependencies, accurate status updates and reports in conjunction with the technical project leaders.
  • Utilizes the project management tool set and processes competently.
  • Demonstrates commitment to their project, including ownership and accountability.
  • Leads geographically dispersed teams remotely.
  • Recognizes ambiguity; facilitates scope delineation and achievement of project objectives.
  • Identifies and removes project roadblocks, resolves issues and mitigates risks.
  • Adapts to new technology solutions utilized by clients.
  • Acts with a collaborative approach to the business.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Generally requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience or 11 years of related experience in lieu of degree Licensure/Certification
  • Certified associate in project management – Project Management Institute (required)
  • Project Management Professional – Project Management Institute Minimum (preferred)
  • 3-7 years’ experience in Project Coordination/Project Management

Required Hard/Tech/Clinical Skills:

  • Budgeting
  • Organization
  • MS Project (Preferred)

Soft/Interpersonal Skills:

  • Leverages strong interpersonal skills and influencing abilities. Interpersonal skills include Active listening, Teamwork, Responsibility, Dependability, Leadership, Motivation, Flexibility, and Patience.
  • Recognizes ambiguity; facilitates scope delineation and achievement of project objectives.
  • Communicates effectively through verbal, written, and formal presentation communications.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

  • Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
  • Long-distance or air travel as needed not to exceed 10% travel.
  • Fully Remote.
