About the Direct Teacher Support Program (DTSP) :

DTSP is a structured teacher support program , designed to improve teacher skills and student learning outcomes through a scalable, effective remote coaching intervention Across all its inputs, DTSP focuses on strengthening teacher capabilities, anchored in the FLN Structured Pedagogy Teacher Guide, TLMs and High-Impact Improving teachers’ Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) and understanding of the NIPUN FLN structured pedagogy approach.

  • Personalized 1:1 coach support A video call, every 14 days (~20 calls/ year) to facilitate NIPUN materials.

  • 1-to-many webinars: Monthly sessions focused on targeted academic competencies and learning objectives, with key activities and teaching strategies for teachers.

  • Student engagement : Virtual student engagement to gauge student levels, and drive Remediation.

  • Online FLN Resources Weekly resources shared with teachers to strengthen planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver fortnightly video coaching calls to 50–60 Grade 1–2 government school teachers on structured pedagogy, classroom management, and high-impact teaching practices to improve student learning outcomes.

  • Conduct professional development workshops and training sessions to support teachers in implementing high-impact teaching strategies and academic resources effectively.

  • Track teacher progress and student learning outcomes through assessments and data analysis, using insights to evaluate program impact, identify learning gaps, and refine instructional support.

  • Design, develop, and refine academic resources aligned with state educational standards and foundational learning goals for primary grades.

  • Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to strengthen instructional practices.

  • Collaborate with educational stakeholders, including government officials, school HM/principals to align academic support with broader school improvement goals.


Required Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, or related disciplines is preferred. Teach For India or Fellowship experience in education is an added advantage.

  • 3–6 years of experience in the education sector, with prior experience in primary-grade classroom teaching, instructional coaching, teacher mentoring, professional development for government school teachers

  • Strong understanding of foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN), structured pedagogy, and implementation within government or low-income school contexts.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and stakeholders

  • Thrives in dynamic, collaborative environments with a growth mindset — resilient, empathetic, and always solution-oriented
