The TransFund Project Manager I is primarily responsible for managing, planning, organizing, and tracking key project milestones for routine TransFund projects which have significant organizational impact and require technical/systems knowledge (i.e., EFT industry, data processor procedures, card product implementation, special studies, etc.); utilizes project management methodology techniques to complete routine tasks. This position manages moderate projects.

How You'll Spend Your Time

  • You will review project requests, identify dependencies, develop task plans, coordinates project activity, and conducts new card product implementations.
  • You will review, plans and coordinates client deconversions and/or special projects.
  • You will identify and manage critical inter-dependencies such as departments, vendors and processes pertaining to batch data processor implementations and data processor changes.
  • You will manage project activity; determines work priorities; supports the project team in procedural development by defining objectives and developing project plans.
  • You will assist project team members and departmental staff; ensures quality product development and delivery objectives are met.
  • You will keep management informed of project progress and product through status meetings and written reports.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline with an information technology focus; 2 – 4 years of project management experience or 8 – 10 years of related work experience. Prior experience in financial services industry is preferred.

  • Working knowledge of the EFT processing industry, or related experience
  • Experience in managing projects involving financial institutions, data processors, ATMs, and card bases
  • Working knowledge of project management methodology
  • Working knowledge of bank products, operations/product delivery system, banking applications
  • Working knowledge of management information systems
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient PC and software package skills and on-line system experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and promote team building
  • Ability to multi task.
