Your Role
As a Gensler ProjectManager, you willleverageyour attention to detail and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional client projects on time andwithinbudget. What You Will Do
Manage project teams,clientsand consultantsfor multiple projectssimultaneously
Manageall phases, including project set-up, programming, design, and construction administration
Establish andmaintainongoing, productive client relationships
Engage directly with clients in coordination withclientor client stakeholders to assure approvals
Manageproject scheduling, staffing/productivity, budgets, project set-up with clients, sub-contractors,vendorsand consultants
Track the financial performance of projects
Prepareproject proposal, negotiatefees andcontractsfor projects
Coordinatebidding process
Ensure projects conform to contract
Createand communicateclear and attainable projectobjectivesand project requirements
Actively support firmwidesustainability and resilience goals, guiding clients and project teams toward multi-benefit sustainable and resilient design solutions
Actively mentor the next generation of leadership by inspiring,empoweringand leading by example. You willbe responsible foradvancing an integrated design culture on your projects within the studio, including mentoring, resources, discourse, initiatives and recruiting of team members
Your Qualifications
15-20years’ experience as a Project Managerwithin a commercialarchitecture and design firmmanaginglarge scaleprojects
Experienceleadingbase buildingandinterior architectureprojects of a variety of scalesforhotels, multi-family residential,office buildings, andmixed-usespaces
Mentoringand collaborating withInterior Designers and Architects
Strong leadership, organization,communicationand interpersonal management skills
Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm, with clients, and with other key constituents.
Commitment to a collaborative design process
Experience negotiating project scope and fees
Knowledge of local building codes and standards
Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited program
Licensed / Registered Architect+LEED accreditation arepreferred
Proven experience mentoringandcoaching junior team members
Provenexperience,building trust with clients and developing client relationships
