The Health Innovation Pathway (HIP) brings promising innovations into the health system, improving patient outcomes, driving economic growth and helping Ontario’s health system reach its full potential. It is designed to accelerate the adoption of new technologies that can improve patient care. The pathway connects the dots for end-to-end innovation adoption in Ontario, creating a single window to introduce new solutions and giving health service providers the tools they need to improve care.
The program includes the Health Technology Assessment program at Ontario Health and has built upon that program to include a concierge service that will act as a single point of contact to provide navigational and advisory supports, as well as implementation planning and adoption for new technologies.
Under the direction of the Director, Health Innovation and Technology Assessment, the Project Manager will oversee project level activities as well as aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation of HIP. They will also be responsible for engaging with OH programs, regions, Ministry of Health (MOH), external partners and relevant ministries and agencies. A strong collaborative working relationship with the leadership teams across Ontario Health is essential.
The Project Manager is an integral member of the Health Innovation Pathway program and plays a key leadership role in ensuring that the team achieves its objectives and its annual commitments to the Ministry of Health.
This incumbent manages complex, multi-workstream projects to an acceptable level of risk by balancing scope, time, cost and quality while maintaining a positive environment that promotes individual development and high-performance standards.
