Job Description
Project Manager for internal standardizing
initiatives at
Novo Nordisk Engineering
If you are motivated by turning complex engineering topics into clear,
shared ways of working? And do you enjoy creating structure, alignment, and
adoption across many stakeholders? Then we would love to hear from you!
Who we are
We are a leading pharma engineering company shaping the future of API pharma engineering globally. Leveraging the expertise of 2,000+ employees across Denmark, India, and the US, we design, build and optimise pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are essential to the health and well-being of patients everywhere.
Our success is driven by passion, innovation, and collaboration — with our customers and across our teams and disciplines. If you share our dedication to a noble cause and our passion for API pharma engineering, then NNE is the place for you.
About the role
We are looking for
a Project Manager to join our newly established Engineering Model Standardisation
Initiatives team (EMS).
In EMS, we will initiate
and drive standardization initiatives that turn complex project and engineering
topics into shared ways of working across NNE. These initiatives range from
creating a common approach to project gates, defining how engineering
deliverables are matured and evaluated, improving governance across project
phases, or aligning how disciplines collaborate in projects. These initiatives span
across disciplines and require structure, facilitation, and alignment across
stakeholders.
Your role will be
to lead such initiatives from early framing to adoption: helping clarify the
need, bring the right people together, support decisions, and ensure the
outcome is robust, practical, and ready to be used in projects.

How you might spend your days
As an EMS Initiative Project Manager, you´ll be:
- Structuring and leading standardization initiatives, translating strategic objectives into clear plans, milestones, dependencies, and decision points
- Mapping current ways of working and collecting input from projects and disciplines to shape practical standards, practices, templates, or guidance
- Planning and facilitating workshops, review sessions, and decision forums that turn complex topics into clear conclusions and agreed next steps
- Engaging stakeholders across disciplines, line management, projects, and enabling functions to build alignment and support adoption
- Developing communication and training material, and delivering introductions or training sessions where relevant to help embed new ways of working
Who you are
We care about who you are as a person. In the end, how you work, and your energy is what impacts the results we achieve as a team. As a person, you are:
- A skilled facilitator who creates clarity and helps people stay focused on outcomes
- Skilled at building trust and alignment across teams, disciplines, and cultures
- Structured and proactive, able to create progress in situations where not everything is defined
- A clear communicator who tailors the message to different audiences
- Motivated by enabling others and seeing your work adopted in practice
What you bring to the role
In all positions, there are some things that are preferred, and others, a bonus. If you do not meet all the qualifications listed below, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role:
- +5 years of experience with project or initiative management, ideally involving cross-functional change or improvements to ways of working
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions and engage stakeholders, helping structure conversations and support decisions without owning the technical content
- An engineering, life-science, or related background, or equivalent experience that enables you to collaborate effectively with technical teams
- Experience with project environments in pharma, engineering, or similarly regulated settings would be an advantage and can help you navigate context and stakeholders
- Fluency in written and spoken English
