MedAustron International GmbH is a subsidiary of EBG MedAustron GmbH and realizes international technology projects in the course of the construction of a new particle accelerator in the rapidly growing medical technology sector. The parent company EBG MedAustron operates one of the most modern centers for ion therapy and research in Europe.

As a Project Manager with focus on medical device development, you will have the overall responsibility for development and execution projects in the medical device field. You will work in a meaningful environment where your expertise will directly contribute to the successful development of innovative medical device projects and help advance technologies that ultimately benefit patients.

A job where you can make a difference:

  • Overall responsibility for development and execution projects in the medical devices field – from concept
    phase through to series production, with significant influence on product strategy and market success
  • Planning, controlling, and monitoring project progress, timelines, resources, and budgets, with
    corresponding decision-making authority and direct reporting to management
  • Leading interdisciplinary project teams (R&D, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, Production,
    Purchasing, and external partners) within a collaborative and professional working environment
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements (e.g. MDR, FDA, ISO 13485,
    ISO 14971), with the opportunity to actively contribute to regulatory strategies
  • Coordination of verification and validation activities in close cooperation with internal experts and external
    partners
  • Preparation and maintenance of project-related documentation
  • Technical coordination with customers, suppliers, and development partners
  • Identification and assessment of technical risks, as well as definition and implementation of appropriate
    mitigation measures
  • Preparation and facilitation of project meetings, as well as regular reporting to executive management

Skills that make you our strength:

  • Completed technical or scientific degree (Master’s/PhD), e.g. in Medical Engineering, Mechanical
    Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a comparable field
  • Additional business or economic education is an advantage
  • Relevant experience in leading complex development projects, ideally in medical technology or the life
    sciences industry
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and regulatory requirements in medical device
    development
  • Experience working with quality management systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and a structured, solution-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills and team orientation
  • Very good English skills, both written and spoken; German is an advantage

For the advertised position we offer a minimum gross annual salary based on the classification in use group IV of the collective agreement for white-collar workers in the metal industry, with the possibility of a significant overpayment, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
