
The City of Toronto operates the largest municipal fleet in Canada and one of the most specialized and diverse fleets in North America. The Fleet Services Division provides comprehensive fleet management services to City Divisions, Agencies, and Corporations in support of delivering key public programs and services. This includes Fleet Safety Education, Training & Compliance, Asset Lifecycle Management, Maintenance, Sustainability, and Fuel/Energy Management.
Fleet Safety & Compliance is a team of skilled professionals responsible for fleet safety education, training, testing, collision management, safety operations and compliance oversight for the vehicles and equipment used to deliver City services. The team supports the independent governance of fleet safety and compliance and works to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, City policies and industry best practices.
The Project Manager, Fleet Safety Operations & Continuous Improvement leads safety projects and continuous improvement initiatives while providing oversight of key Fleet Safety Operations functions. The role includes responsibility for collision management, telematics, CVOR maintenance program activities, operational work planning, performance monitoring and staff direction.
The position works closely with Fleet Safety leadership, City divisions, Fleet Services teams and other stakeholders to identify risk, improve processes, implement safety initiatives and support measurable improvements in fleet safety performance.
