We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Facilities Planning & Design (FPD)team—someone who thrives at the intersection of strategy, design, and execution and is energized byrepresentingthe owner’s perspective on complex healthcare projects.
In this role, you will serve as a key steward of Stanford Health Care’s built environment, managing projects from programming and design through construction and closeout. Day to day,you’llpartner closely with clinical stakeholders, architects, engineers, and consultants to translate vision into functional, compliant, and inspiring spaces.You’lllead design reviews, coordinate approvals, and ensure projects align with institutional standards, regulatory requirements, and long-term operational goals.
Week to week,you’llbalance multiple projects at various stages—facilitatingcollaboration, resolving challenges, andmaintainingclear communication across diverse teams. Over time,you’llhelp shape how projects are delivered at Stanford Health Care by contributing to best practices, standards, and continuous improvement within FPD.
Ideal candidates bring experience inowner’s-side project management, healthcare and/or complex institutional environments, anda strong foundationin the design and construction process. The Facilities Planning & Design(FPD) business unit leads the planning, design, and improvement of Stanford Health Care’s spaces to advance excellence in care, innovation, and experience. Withexpertiseacross Planning, Design, Land Use & Licensing, Art, Wayfinding, Signage, and Facilities Administration, FPD turns vision into reality, creating functional, compliant, and inspiring environments aligned with Stanford Medicine’s mission.
A Brief Overview
The Project Manager (PM) leads key organization initiatives for Stanford Health Care. Project Managers are responsible for the coordination and completion of all aspects of project management on assigned projects, including, but not limited to, project scope, project schedule, project budget, project plans, facilitating meetings, documenting requirements, overseeing development, operational workflows, and implementation. Additionally, the Project Manager directs participants in compliance and regulatory alignment efforts.
The Project Manager is responsible for identifying and resolving project issues, making sure the project progresses on schedule and on budget. The PM is the point of communication with stakeholders and is accountable for the project's success. The Project Manager must have strong communication skills in acting as the liaison between the project team, subcontractor, customer, key stakeholders, and senior leadership. The Project Manager has ultimate responsibility for project delivery. The Project Manager may direct the project/senior project coordinator (PC or Sr. PC) to expedite project related tasks.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $62.75 - $83.16 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
