The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, high-impact, and confidential business operations projects across several domains including finance, contracts, staffing, and external communications. The role works closely with internal staff, external vendors, and other state agencies to ensure business operations alignment with the strategic program priorities. This role requires expertise in applying recognized project management methodologies. Key Responsibilities and Duties Project Management · Serve as the project manager for all components of business operations. · Develop comprehensive and time-sensitive project management plans, including scope, requirements, acceptance criteria, risk management, communication plans, change management, and detailed project schedules. · Apply appropriate project management methodologies for project delivery, ensuring effective monitoring and control of scope, schedule, budget, and quality. · Implement formal change management processes for identifying, documenting, tracking, and incorporating changes to projects. · Manage project resources and team activities, providing feedback and ensuring project performance aligns with plans. · Provide regular project reporting, including progress, risks, and blockers, for internal and external stakeholders. · Utilize domain knowledge in finance, contracts, and staffing to support and align projects and processes across the organization. Stakeholder and Vendor Coordination · Coordinate closely with internal and external partners, including internal staffing external vendors, and other state agencies. · Provide project management oversight of vendors to ensure alignment across business operations and contractual requirements. · Facilitate efficient coordination and planning by serving as a central point of contact across organizations. Required Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related IT field, business administration, project management, or a closely related degree from an appropriately accredited institution, and 3-5 years of experience managing Medicaid or health IT technical projects; related work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. · Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and monitor integrated master schedules and project budgets. · Considerable knowledge of vendor management and ensuring contract deliverables are met. · Experience leading projects using methodologies such as waterfall, agile, or hybrid models. · Experience using a wide variety of project management software, including Microsoft Project and other web-based platforms such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, Workday, or Monday Requirements Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Apply finance, contracts, staffing, and communications expertise to clarify requirements, surface dependencies, and advance process maturity. Required 7 Years Provide project management oversight of vendor implementation projects to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Required 7 Years Develop integrated project plans and manage scope, schedule, requirements, risks, communication, and change control.
