Job Description

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in medical device development? Do you enjoy leading complex development projects and coordinating work across internal teams and external development partners? Then you may be the Project Manager we are looking for in EndoIntelligence Solutions within Global R&D.

In this role, you will lead a strategically important development project and work closely with a global and cross-functional team to ensure successful project execution from planning through delivery.

Key responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead a cross-functional development project through all phases of the product development process.
  • Drive project planning, execution, follow-up, and reporting of scope, timeline, budget, risks, and key decisions.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering disciplines and key stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain strong collaboration with external development partners and suppliers.
  • Facilitate project governance activities, including Steering Committee reviews and decision-making forums.
  • Ensure project documentation and deliverables are completed in accordance with Ambu's quality system and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Create transparency, alignment, and engagement across the project team and stakeholder landscape.
  • Support the continuous improvement of project management practices and lessons learned.

Suggested candidate profile

Skills and experience can be gained in many ways, and we understand that the perfect candidate cannot be defined on paper. However, you are likely to succeed in this role if you:

  • Hold a technical degree within engineering or a related field.
  • Have experience leading the development of complex medical device hardware, including electronics, mechanics, embedded systems, and integration across disciplines.
  • Have worked closely with external development partners and suppliers and understand how to manage outsourced development activities, technical deliverables, timelines, and risks.
  • Have experience working with internal and external development teams across different regions, including Asian and European countries, and bring the cultural awareness needed to adapt ways of working and build effective collaboration across cultures.
  • Are comfortable navigating a complex stakeholder environment and driving alignment across functions.
  • Bring a structured and proactive approach to project execution and risk management.
  • Have strong communication and leadership skills and enjoy working with international teams.
  • Are fluent in written and spoken English.
