Project Manager - Electrical-268243

UGL is the lead electrical contractor delivering preventative maintenance, corrective works and project services across the University of Queensland campuses. Supporting a diverse portfolio of assets including research laboratories, teaching facilities, student accommodation, sporting venues, data centres, substations and critical infrastructure, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team.

Based at UQ’s vibrant St Lucia campus and reporting to the Program Manager, you will lead the delivery of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) electrical projects valued up to $1 million across UQ’s campus network.

What you’ll be doing

  • Manage electrical projects from scoping and estimating through to commissioning, handover and close-out.

  • Deliver LV and MV electrical infrastructure projects while maintaining service continuity across a live university campus.

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, forecasting and subcontractor management.

  • Drive strong safety, quality and compliance outcomes in line with UGL's One HSE Culture and industry standards.

  • Build trusted relationships with UQ stakeholders and provide clear leadership to supervisors, leading hands and delivery teams

About You

  • Proven experience managing electrical infrastructure, building services, utilities or facilities projects.

  • Demonstrated experience delivering LV electrical projects, with a solid understanding of MV interfaces and commissioning activities.

  • Strong commercial acumen, including cost control, forecasting, procurement and variation management.

  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • A safety-first mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical trade qualification and/or Electrical Engineering qualification.

  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Queensland Electrical Licence (desirable).

  • Construction White Card and current driver's licence.
