Kanadevia Inova is seeking a dedicated Project Manager for Energy from Waste (EfW) Projects to join our Regional Service Centre.

Reporting directly to the Project Director, you will spearhead one of two major project scopes—either Core Products or Plants—taking full ownership of cost, schedule, and quality. In this vital role, you will lead a talented team of Technical Project Managers (TPMs), manage critical interfaces, and act as the Project Director's deputy when required, specifically steering off-shore activities to ensure overarching project success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Execution Strategy: Flow down the Project Execution Strategy, PEPP, and Project Quality Plan effectively across your entire assigned scope.
  • Baseline Schedule Creation: Partner actively with the project scheduler and TPMs to establish a robust time schedule baseline meeting all contractual dates.
  • Secure Design Freezes: Support the Project Engineering Manager to achieve timely, robust design freezes and Quality Gate Reviews to prevent future changes.
  • Manage Documentation Flow: Oversee document tracking to ensure critical construction, installation, and commissioning materials reach the site team on time.
  • Control Quality Drivers: Steer your engineering team to prioritize hardware costs, constructability, and the absolute minimization of poor quality costs continuously.

Qualifications

  • Leadership & Team Building: Proven ability to drive, inspire, and coach a multidisciplinary engineering team while utilizing strong project management and moderation skills to foster a collaborative culture.
  • Effective Communication & Mediation: Strong analysis and synthesis capabilities as an effective communicator who delivers simple, punchy messages to diverse audiences, alongside proven experience mediating internal and external conflict.
  • Commercial & Legal Awareness: Practiced in managing contracts, navigating risk, and handling complex negotiation talks with external stakeholders, suppliers, and internal business groups confidently.
  • Technical & Process Knowledge: Robust understanding of industrial process and product systems, backed by solid MS Office user skills and a strong results-oriented, resilient mindset under project pressure.
  • Desirable Credentials & Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory, while an IPMA/PMI project certification, a business-related education, SAP system knowledge, or proficiency in German will provide a distinct advantage.
