MA’AN Development Center is an
independent Palestinian non-profit organization, established in Jerusalem in
January 1989. Relying on a human rights-based approach, community partnerships,
and active participation, MA’AN works to enhance the resilience, empowerment,
and realization of the rights of those most in need, the poor and marginalized
groups and individuals, as well as unleash their latent capacities to enhance
their active participation in sustainable development and their abilities to
respond to and recover from crises.


MA'AN seeks to hire a competent
Project
Manager

responsible
for
leading the planning and implementation of Child Protection activities in Jenin
and Nablus, including psychosocial support sessions, case management and proper
referrals through proper referral pathways.

The project Manager will manage a team of facilitators and case managers, coordinate
with stakeholders, and ensure the program's strategic alignment and
effectiveness.


The duty station will be MA’AN’s office
in Jenin with frequent visits to the project locations and Ramallah office as
needed.


Roles and Responsibilities:


·

Lead the overall planning, implementation,
monitoring, and reporting of Child Protection
project

,
ensuring timely delivery and achievement of project objectives in Jenin and
Nablus.


·

Coordinate the implementation of Child
Protection activities in close collaboration with the Child Protection
Technical Team, ensuring adherence to approved technical approaches and quality
standards.


·

Develop and monitor project work plans,
implementation schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and spending forecasts.


·

Supervise and support project staff, ensuring
effective team coordination, performance management, and capacity development.


·

Ensure compliance with donor requirements,
organizational policies, humanitarian principles, and relevant protection
standards.


·

Coordinate with internal support departments,
including Finance, HR, Logistics, Procurement, and MEAL, to ensure smooth
project implementation.


·

Monitor project progress against targets and
budgets, identify implementation challenges, and develop appropriate corrective
actions.


·

Ensure timely preparation and submission of
high-quality narrative reports, work plans, and other project documentation.


·

Maintain effective coordination with donors,
UN agencies, clusters, government counterparts, and partner organizations as
required.


·

Support activities design,
proposal development

,
budget revisions, and project close-out processes.


·

Promote Accountability to Affected
Populations (AAP), safeguarding, PSEA, protection mainstreaming, disability
inclusion, and gender-sensitive programming across all project activities.


·

Facilitate regular coordination meetings
between project teams and technical specialists to ensure effective
implementation and continuous quality improvement.


·

Perform any other duties assigned by the line
manager relevant to the position.


Requirements


Required Qualifications:


-

Bachelor’s
degree in education, Social Sciences, International Relations, or related
field. A master's degree is an advantage.

Minimum
of 5 years of experience in managing child protection projects in
conflict-affected areas.

Proven
experience in project management and coordination.


-

Strong
understanding of humanitarian principles and the specific needs of vulnerable
populations in conflict zones.

Excellent
communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Fluency
in Arabic and English (both written and spoken).

Work Conditions, Contract & Benefits


  • The work schedule is 40 hours per
    week.

  • The probation period is 3 months, and can be extended to another 3 months according to the Labor Law.

  • Annual leave: 21 working days/year

  • National and Religious leave: 16
    days per year.

  • Sick leave: 14 days/year

  • Indemnity Payment: Equivalent to
    one month’s salary for each complete year of service.

  • Reimbursement for work related
    transportation expenses is according to MA’AN’s by- laws.

  • Time flexibility is recognized by
    both parties with consideration that this position might need to do part
    of the work after 4:00pm.

  • Contract Type:

    Project-based / Renewable.
