As a Project Manager within National Technology you will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery of the DMS project, overseeing all phases from current state discovery and future state design through to architecture, tool selection, migration and adoption.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Manage the engagement with the selected implementation partner, holding them to plan, scope, quality and commercial commitments, and ensuring effective collaboration with RSM internal teams.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource plans and budgets, and track progress against them across all four phases.
- Plan and oversee the migration of content from legacy network drives and other repositories to SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365, including ROT (redundant, outdated, trivial) analysis, wave-based migration, cut-over and decommissioning of legacy systems.
- Coordinate stakeholders across Audit, Tax, Consulting, National Technology, Information Security, Risk and Compliance, ensuring requirements from each service line and support function are captured and addressed.
- Identify, assess and manage project risks, issues, actions and decisions proactively, escalating to the programme sponsor and steering committee as needed.
- Facilitate regular project, governance and technical stand-up meetings, providing clear updates to business stakeholders and ensuring alignment across teams and the implementation partner.
- Oversee the design and rollout of governance, security and compliance configurations — including Microsoft Purview retention, sensitivity labels, DLP, least-privilege access via Azure AD and lifecycle controls — ensuring the solution meets regulatory and information governance requirements.
What we are looking for:
Are you someone who thrives on variety, loves learning new things, and enjoys connecting with people? If you can spot inefficiencies in everyday life and are passionate about making improvements, this role is perfect for you!
We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in technical project management, preferably within Professional Services or a similarly regulated environment.
- Demonstrable experience delivering large-scale Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online programmes, ideally including content migration from on-premises file shares to the cloud.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Purview (retention, sensitivity labels, DLP), Azure AD, Microsoft Teams and OneDrive in an enterprise context.
- Experience managing third-party implementation partners and vendors, including statement of work, deliverable acceptance and commercial governance.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and experience tailoring delivery approach to phase and context.
- Solid grasp of information governance, records management and regulatory drivers (e.g. GDPR, data retention) and how they translate into platform configuration.
- Strong ITIL and service transition knowledge, including planning operational readiness and handover to BAU support.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging credibly with senior business stakeholders, technical teams and external partners.
- Professional certifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, or Certified Scrum Master are highly desirable.
It would be great if you also had some of the following, but please don’t worry if you don’t tick every box:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management or a related discipline, with a strong emphasis on IT project management principles and methodologies.
- Prior experience delivering AI-enabled knowledge management or Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness initiatives.
- Experience leading change and adoption activities across a large, geographically distributed user base.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
