Job Description
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands
As Project Manager for DBFM Claims Handling, you are responsible for managing and settling claims and incidents within complex DBFM (Design, Build, Finance, Maintain) infrastructure contracts. You operate in a high-risk environment involving technical, political, and safety-critical aspects.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and settle claims and incidents in line with DBFM contract agreements
Ensure proper execution of damage repairs and financial settlements
Assess incoming claims and monitor progress within the Damage Tracking System (SVS)
Identify risks and bottlenecks and act proactively
Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
Advise contract managers and project stakeholders on claim decisions
Maintain strong relationships while safeguarding contractual responsibilities
Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Requirements (Must-Have)
Completed HBO (higher professional education) degree in engineering, contract management, procurement, or similar
Proven experience with contract management in large DBFM projects (€65M+)
Valid VOL-VCA certification (Safety for Operational Supervisors)
Experience with contract management processes within central government
Preferred Experience
Experience handling claims and incidents within DBFM contracts (public sector)
Knowledge of operational-phase DBFM environments
Familiarity with Damage Tracking Systems (SVS)
