WHAT YOU WILL DO

As an Project Manager, you will be based at Amgen's Capability Center in Lisbon, Portugal, leading technical and cyber-related projects as part of the Cybersecurity & Digital Trust (CDT) team.

You will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of projects, including planning, execution, financial tracking, risk management, and outcome realization aligned with CDT and enterprise objectives. You will apply both Agile and traditional project management methodologies to drive delivery while proactively identifying risks, optimizing resources, and ensuring alignment with business and regulatory priorities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Own the delivery of project outcomes, ensuring alignment with defined business objectives, timelines, and financial targets

  • Manage all aspects of projects, including scope, schedule, resources, financials, risks, and issues

  • Independently determine project approach, prioritization, and execution strategies within defined objectives

  • Apply analytical judgment to evaluate moderately complex risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, and implement mitigation strategies

  • Lead defined project workstreams or multiple concurrent initiatives of moderate complexity

  • Partner with technical leads and stakeholders to identify key deliverables and ensure cross-functional alignment

  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable project plans

  • Influence and align cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful execution of project deliverables

  • Develop and report project and financial indicators, including performance, risks, costs, and trends

  • Proactively identify and remove roadblocks and impediments to team progress

  • Guide teams in applying appropriate project management methodologies and practices to improve delivery outcomes and operational efficiency

  • Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement

  • Foster collaboration and maintain a delivery-focused team environment

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU

Must-Have Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end delivery of projects, including scope, schedule, resource, financial, and risk management

  • Experience applying multiple delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and traditional project management)

  • Ability to manage moderately complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risks, interpret data, and support decision-making

  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and translate ambiguity into structured plans

  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams

  • High degree of ownership, accountability, and initiative

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Jira experience

  • Workshop facilitation experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) – preferred

  • Certified Project Manager - preferred

  • Agile Certified Practitioner - preferred

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work effectively with global, virtual teams

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing conditions
