The Cyber Security organization plays a critical role in safeguarding Sysco's digital assets, colleagues, and customers by protecting its digital architecture against evolving cyber threats. It works to prevent unauthorized access and data breaches and operates across four regions: North America, Latin America, EMEA, and Asia Pacific.
The Cyber Project Manager is responsible for managing the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of projects for individual contributors and supervisors. This role drives delivery within the team and creates both long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines, and allocating resources. The role involves delegating tasks to team members best positioned to complete them, ensuring deliverables are met, making effective decisions for project progression with support from senior team members when needed, and managing dependencies across project tasks.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads 3–5 low to medium complexity projects or 1–2 highly complex projects to deliver agreed outcomes within time, cost, and quality constraints.
- Owns all aspects of projects to deliver approved business functionality to Sysco.
- Defines scope, delivery approach, assumptions, dependencies, risks, and budget in partnership with the Project Sponsor.
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders and dependent projects to develop detailed project schedules, including activities, milestones, and duration estimates; monitors and revises schedules as needed.
- Monitors and controls multiple aspects of projects throughout the lifecycle, including change requests, issues, risks, and status reporting.
- Manages project budgets, including purchases, contracts, and monthly spend and resource forecasting.
- Assists in obtaining cost and overhead estimates and develops project budgets based on business cases.
- Addresses low-level risks, issues, and scope change requests; escalates when needed and implements responses following established processes.
- Facilitates requisitions, creates purchase requests, and onboards third-party resources.
- Owns project/workstream-level reporting and adapts communication to stakeholder needs.
- Establishes quality indicators for processes and outputs aligned with stakeholders and business cases.
- Conducts regular reviews to assess progress, stakeholder relationships, outcomes, and benefit realization.

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience in an IT environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with industry-standard project management tools and methodologies.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- PMI CAPM/PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification.
- Experience with Agile methodologies or CSM certification.
- 1–3 years of cybersecurity project management experience or relevant certification.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or PlanView.
- Understanding of project financials and performance measurement.
