Base $95-$105k

As a Project Manager for Cryogenics, This individual will play a key role in the growth of Airgas’s industrial, and bulk gas business through the design of equipment systems supporting Airgas’s portfolio of gas applications. With a focus on safety, efficiency and reliability, both internally and externally, this position will be focused on providing Airgas installation project management along with support and development of complete process solutions, including gases, technology and equipment. This position requires managing both technical applications and bulk projects (cryogenic storage tanks and associated distribution systems) from a design perspective. This candidate will also provide the technical support required by the operations group for new and current plant upgrades.
Owns ass igned projects from initialization to commercialization
Responsible for on-time commissioning of new systems
Create/maintain tracking tools to keep projects on-time and communicate with stakeholders, including improvements in Sales & Field Service communication and coordination
Organize and communicate project needs with Field Service team for small parts, logistics coordination and other requirements
Build new projects into SAP
Scheduling project activities with the Field Service Director.
Support system start up and troubleshooting.
Technical support to regional sales, operations and field service.
Reviews and validates completed standard designs.
Reports regulatory compliance issues and concerns to the supervisor as appropriate.
Supports and participates in the IMS programs and objectives established by the entity.
Proposes Airgas technical solutions to selected customers in order to solve their technical hurdles or develop new technical solutions.
Leads the opportunity for development in collaboration with sales teams.
Performs other duties as assigned
Safety/Quality/Environment: Makes sure that all of the elements of the projects satisfy Airgas’s health, environment and safety standards.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering degree or equivalent field service management required.
A minimum of two years of experience in project management, and cryogenic gas industry.
Preferred:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Ability to understand blueprints, electrical schematics and process flow charts.
Experience in the design and knowledge of pressure piping, PLCs, instrumentation and compressors.
Knowledge of standards through ASME, CSA, NFPA, CGA and current on legislation concerning pressure vessels.
Understanding of national building code requirements.
Ability to understand when compliance issues are occurring and quickly reporting those concerns to management.
Monitors costs to improve operating profits.
Masters concepts, tools and methods related to the work environment.
Monitors and maintains consistent task progress to ensure that project is on track.
Defines clear objects and sets a plan of action to achieve them by determining all required resources, anticipates future needs and establishes work plans.
Positively influences others, easily obtains cooperation through employee work life balance, while still meeting deadlines.
Decisive ability to quickly consider all factors and accepting consequences for the risks involved.
Identifies, analyzes and communicates challenges while quickly developing potentially feasible solutions.
