Overview:

As the AI Project Manager for Mining and Exploration, you will lead a dynamic team consisting of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Geologists to develop cutting-edge AI tools tailored for mining and exploration operations. Your role will be pivotal in orchestrating the collaboration between technical experts and domain specialists to drive innovation and optimize resource utilization in the mining sector.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Leadership: Spearhead the end-to-end project management process, from ideation to deployment, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
2. Team Coordination: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Geologists, to foster synergy and maximize productivity.
3. Resource Management: Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure efficient utilization of manpower and financial resources throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Technical Oversight: Provide guidance and support to technical teams in the development and implementation of AI solutions, leveraging your understanding of mining and exploration processes to drive innovation and problem-solving.
5. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including mine operators, exploration teams, and senior management, to gather requirements, communicate project progress, and solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
6. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project delivery within scope, timeline, and budget constraints.
7. Quality Assurance: Establish quality standards and implement rigorous testing protocols to validate the performance and reliability of AI tools in real-world mining and exploration scenarios.
8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project milestones, deliverables, and outcomes, and generate regular progress reports to keep stakeholders informed and aligned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience 1 year in project management, preferably in the mining or natural resources sector.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, and data analytics, with practical experience in implementing AI solutions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate multidisciplinary teams towards common goals.
• Knowledge of mining and exploration processes, geospatial data analysis, and geological modeling would be advantageous.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus.
