Job Description

Ready to lead complex projects that shape the future of food processing?

At Frontmatec, we design and deliver advanced processing solutions for the global food industry. We are now looking for a skilled and structured Project Manager to take end‑to‑end ownership of complex technical projects and ensure predictable, high‑quality delivery for our customers.

This role is for an experienced project professional who thrives at the intersection of structure, technology, stakeholders, and business impact.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you are accountable for planning and delivering complex technical projects in line with agreed scope, timeline, cost, and quality targets. You take full ownership from contract handover through installation, commissioning, acceptance, and final handover—across both Greenfield and Brownfield environments.

Working within Frontmatec's development, governance, and project management model, you drive structured execution, disciplined reporting, and strong coordination across internal teams, customers, and external partners. The role combines a classic project management profile with solid technical insight, enabling you to challenge solutions constructively, manage risks proactively, and support timely decision-making.

While you are not responsible for detailed engineering execution, you provide technical leadership and ensure the right stakeholders are aligned to deliver a predictable, positive outcome for both Frontmatec and our customers.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead projects end‑to‑end from contract handover through commissioning, acceptance, and final handover
  • Act as the primary customer point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
  • Plan and control project scope, schedule, budget, and quality in line with Frontmatec's project model
  • Lead cross‑functional teams across engineering, procurement, installation, and service
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; manage changes and deviations through structured processes
  • Maintain accurate financial tracking, forecasting, and performance reporting (cost, margin, and cash)
  • Coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning in close collaboration with the Installation Manager
  • Drive timely decision-making, escalation, and stakeholder alignment when priorities or constraints change
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, technical specifications, and HSE requirements

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience managing complex technical and/or industrial projects
  • Proven ownership of project budgets typically in the range of DKK 20–100 million
  • Strong knowledge of project management methods, governance, and reporting disciplines
  • Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP) is an advantage
  • Solid technical understanding and the ability to engage confidently with engineers, specialists, and customers
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Structured, self‑driven working style and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Fluency in English; Danish is required for local collaboration
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30–40 days per year

What We Expect from You

You consistently deliver projects on time, within budget, and in full alignment with contractual and quality requirements. You take clear ownership of your projects, demonstrating accountability and sound judgment when navigating complex and changing situations. Through a transparent and structured approach to planning, reporting, and daily communication, you create clarity and confidence for stakeholders.

You build strong, trust‑based relationships with customers as well as internal teams, enabling effective collaboration and timely decision‑making. You proactively identify potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation actions early to protect project delivery. As part of the broader project community, you actively contribute to a collaborative, performance‑oriented culture and support continuous improvement across processes and ways of working.

What We Offer

At Frontmatec, you become part of an international organization with a strong technical foundation and clear ambitions for growth and innovation. We offer:

Responsibility and autonomy in leading complex, high‑impact projects

A professional and supportive project environment with clear governance and decision frameworks

Close collaboration with skilled specialists across engineering, operations, and installation
