Project Manager – Civil Projects

Location: Luanda, Angola

Shape the future of port infrastructure with a leading international port operator. This is a unique opportunity to drive the delivery of major civil works as part of a transformational terminal redevelopment programme in Luanda.

As Project Manager – Civil Projects, you'll play a central role in one of the region's most significant infrastructure investments. Reporting to the Project Implementation Manager, you'll be based on-site in Angola, leading the civil delivery team and overseeing contractor execution to ensure quality, safety, and schedule integrity.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the planning, execution, and close-out of complex civil works packages
• Managing daily technical coordination across EPC contractors, PMC teams, and internal delivery functions
• Overseeing compliance with contract specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements
• Monitoring progress, escalating risks, and resolving scope interfaces across systems, equipment, and operations
• Administering contract variations, claims resolution, and change control processes
• Delivering regular project reporting and governance inputs
• Acting as the focal point for civil-related delivery across a diverse and dynamic stakeholder group

What You'll Bring to the Table

• Minimum 15 years' experience in civil infrastructure delivery, including at least 5 years in a senior role on major capital projects
• Demonstrated success in port and marine infrastructure developments
• Strong track record of contractor performance management and stakeholder coordination
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; PMP certification preferred
• Proven ability to manage complex interfaces and deliver in high-pressure environments
• Experience working in Africa or comparable international contexts is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese is required
