Job Description

  • Manages the design, engineering and construction of commercial and industrial (C&I) scale solar PV systems, including but not limited to the electrical, structural and mechanical aspects of the projects.
  • Develops, maintains and executes the project proposal or work plan.
  • Establishes or oversees the work plan, staffing, and budgeting for each phase of project execution, including design, engineering, procurement and construction.
  • Conduct engineering site visit to plan equipment and interconnection locations at the site and connections to the existing electrical system.
  • Coordinates preparation and regular updates of the project execution plan.
  • Ensure completion of projects within the time frame and budget with quality
  • Provides and coordinates engineering support for business development as needed.
  • Has primary responsibility for overseeing execution of and compliance with construction contracts and works with construction team to ensure adequate scopes of work under those contracts.
  • Arranges for and organizes regularly scheduled project meetings to facilitate, confirm and communicate status of progress and assign tasks.

  • About the Projects: Candidate will lead C&I-scale solar PV developments for premium clients in the green energy sector, including a flagship portfolio aligned with Gentari's sustainability goals.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master’s Degree, Engineering (Electrical/ Electronic), Engineering (Industrial), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the Solar field is required for this position.
  • Required skill(s): AutoCAD, Project Management.
  • Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
  • Field experience in installation, start-up testing and commissioning will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with AutoCAD Microsoft Office, Windows, and Project.
  • Highly organized and skillful at working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willing to travel when needed.
  • Willing to relocate when needed.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-tasking.
