Job Description

Project Manager

This position is Remote. Responsible for the direction and performance of all designs, procurement, construction and set-up for future operations on a specific project to ensure the work is performed in conformance to the project objectives and requirements. Responsible for project schedule, cost and quality. Represent the interests of Cordia during all project activities.
Principle Responsibilities/Key Results Area
• Prepare and monitor compliance with the Project Execution Plan and Project Charter.
• Advise management on progress, costs, schedules, and client relations at regular intervals.
• Responsible for ensuring Job Status Reports (Internal and external) are properly reviewed with the project team prior to issuance.
• Monitor the contractors’ performance against schedule and budget, identifying and rectifying deviations.
• Support commercial agreement development and negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor and guide engineering development
• Monitor and guide procurement activities
• Define path of construction, resource plan and implement plan
• Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems.
• Monitor the contractors’ quality control procedures, rectify deviations.
• Monitor the contractors’ adherence to project safety procedures rectify deviations.
• Implement and maintain an effective HSE, QC and QA process for the project team.
• Identify, evaluate and mitigate risks that may have an impact on the project.
• Assure effective contingency plans for potential problems are maintained.
• Manage the change process for all contractors.
• Evaluate and negotiate change orders, claims or disputes with contractors.
• Certify payments to the contractors.
• Establish and maintain communications and document control to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information.
• Monitor Project compliance with Contract obligations.

Requirements
Experience and Education
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• Ten (10) years of experience working in one or more aspects of the engineering & design, construction and operation of utility, industrial or institutional projects
• 5 years experience in Project Management on large industrial projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing engineering, procurement and construction processes on large projects.
• Advanced management training.
Knowledge and Skills
• Knowledgeable of Contract terms and conditions and Subcontract terms and conditions.
• Contract administration
• Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or equal
• Autodesk build, Procore, InEight or other Project Management platform
• Quality Control
• Quality Assurance
• Exposure to all stages of projects from pursuit, negotiation, award, delivery, startup, to commercial operation.
• Enthusiastic, willing to learn and flexible regarding day-to-day responsibilities
• Skilled in oral and written communication
• Technical interdisciplinary communication and knowledge to enable other technical groups to produce a high-quality product
• The ability to work independently and make decisions independently as necessary
