About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Power Services business and lead the delivery of critical electricity infrastructure projects across Victoria. With a strong program of work planned for 2026, including line and feeder upgrades, underground network construction and potential zone substation projects, this role offers the opportunity to shape essential energy infrastructure that supports growing communities and network reliability.

Operating in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment, you'll be trusted to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities and lead project teams through complex delivery challenges. Working closely with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders, you'll be accountable for delivering projects safely, on time and within budget while maintaining strong governance and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of electricity infrastructure projects, ensuring safe, efficient and commercially successful outcomes.
• Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership, risk management and compliance with Zinfra's health, safety and environmental standards.
• Oversee project governance, including planning, change management, stakeholder engagement, reporting and project close-out activities.
• Manage project schedules, costs, resources and performance to deliver agreed client and business objectives.
• Build strong relationships with clients, delivery partners and internal teams to successfully navigate complex operational and project environments.

About You

You're an experienced project leader who combines technical credibility with practical problem-solving and sound commercial judgement. You thrive in complex operational environments, remain calm under pressure and take ownership of outcomes. You're collaborative, resilient and capable of making decisions that balance safety, customer, commercial and delivery requirements.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Demonstrated project management experience delivering engineering, construction or utility infrastructure projects, ideally within the electricity or energy sector.
• A Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent technical qualification, supported by a strong understanding of engineering and construction delivery.
• Experience applying recognised project management methodologies, with proven capability in risk management, contract administration and project governance.
• Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills, including experience engaging with clients, contractors and senior leadership teams.
• A commitment to accountability, safety leadership and continuous improvement, with the ability to lead teams through complex project challenges.
