The Project & Business Relationship Manager, Data & Analytics is responsible for leading and coordinating technology initiatives that support business priorities, with primary focus on the Data & Analytics domain. This role combines project management discipline with strong business relationship management, serving as a key bridge between business stakeholders and IT teams.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience in Data & Analytics while also demonstrating working knowledge across broader IT domains. This role requires someone who can build trusted relationships, help shape and clarify business needs, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive initiatives forward from intake through execution.
Key Responsibilities
Project and Initiative Leadership
• Lead and coordinate Data & Analytics and related technology initiatives from intake through planning, execution, and closure.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and decision logs.
• Monitor progress against scope, schedule, and delivery commitments, and drive timely follow-up on actions and decisions.
• Identify, escalate, and help remove blockers to support effective execution across teams.
Business Engagement and Demand Coordination
• Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and serve as a key point of contact for assigned initiatives.
• Understand business priorities, challenges, and opportunities, and help translate them into clear project scope, requirements, and actionable work.
• Support demand intake, early shaping of initiatives, and prioritization discussions.
• Ensure business context and expected outcomes are well understood across delivery teams.
Cross-Functional IT Coordination
• Coordinate with Data & Analytics, architecture, applications, integration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, governance, and other teams to support delivery.
• Manage cross-functional dependencies to ensure alignment across workstreams and timely issue resolution.
• Help connect business needs with the appropriate technical teams and capabilities.
• Support solution discussions by ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged at the right time.
Governance, Communication, and Reporting
• Prepare and deliver clear project updates, including status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and impacts.
• Support governance and leadership forums with concise, business-oriented reporting.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure transparency around trade-offs, timelines, and delivery constraints.
• Contribute to stronger demand management, project execution, and business/IT alignment practices.
Qualifications and Experience
• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, Data, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience in project management, business-facing technology delivery, business relationship management, or similar roles.
• Strong experience leading or coordinating Data & Analytics initiatives, including reporting, business intelligence, analytics, data platforms, or data governance-related work.
• Broad understanding of IT domains beyond data, including enterprise applications, architecture, integration, infrastructure/cloud, cybersecurity, and service delivery.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders, clarify business needs, and coordinate across multiple technical and business teams.
• Strong experience managing scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations in complex environments.
• Experience in manufacturing or operational environments is an asset.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is an asset.
• Experience with intake, prioritization, governance, or portfolio processes is an asset.

Salary Range
Posting range: CAD $95,000–$120,000 annually
