The Project Manager, Brand Marketing Operations - Retail has the opportunity to drive and evolve cross-functional processes and communication and seeks someone who thrives in strategic thinking. This role is the centre of all work that connects Brand Marketing with Retail, Creative and Store Development. Your knowledge of Retail executions will empower you to remove roadblocks for those working on Projects you manage to allow for an efficient end-to-end process. With your project management skills you will support the Brand marketing team with brand store launch events.

This role is based out of our Garching office, near Munich and is open to hybrid work schedule (2 days at the office, 2 days at home and 1 discretion to the manager). Candidates must be eligible to work in Germany.

Meet Your Future Team:

The EMEA Marketing team is composed of a passionate group of professionals, all with an international background. The main objective of the department is to develop and execute consumer-facing regional and global strategies for the European markets and open new Brand and Mountain Stores in key epicenters in the region.

In addition to reporting to the Brand Marketing Operations Manager - EMEA and working closely with the Retail Marketing team, you will be collaborating cross-functionally with team members from the Community, Experiences, Sports Marketing and PR & Media teams in EMEA and the Retail Brand Marketing and Creative teams at our headquarter.

If you were the Project Manager, Brand Marketing Operations - Retail EMEA now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Steering multiple projects from the kick-off to on-time execution, including scope of work, project plans, resource allocation (internal and external), reviews, on-going status updates, quality assurance, and debriefing
  • Liaising with the Retail Brand Marketing, Store Development, Visual Merchandising, Creative and Retail Community teams to ensure an efficient end-to-end process and timely delivery of branded content in new store opening and renovation projects
  • Building and maintaining solid relationships with key stakeholders across the organization both globally and regionally with a key focus on building an in-depth understanding of the retail environment
  • Engaging relevant stakeholders of all levels at the right time to ensure full project awareness and enrollment along with successful execution
  • Developing workback plans and calendars for store opening events and store marketing activations.
  • Championing and evolving processes, tools, and workflows between the Retail Marketing and Store Development teams and with other key stakeholders, as necessary
  • Working cross-functionally to gather information and content, acting as central point of contact to stakeholders on all Retail related projects
  • Support the marketing team with processing and tracking invoices for new store opening events against budget.
  • Provide support on additional tasks and initiatives as required

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Coordinating and aligning Retail functions to ensure smooth execution of the upcoming new store openings in multiple European epicentres and mountain towns.
  • Coordinating and facilitating new store openings speed-to-market process from kick-off to opening day.
  • Working with Retail Brand Marketing and Creative team to ensure timely delivery of brand elements for new EMEA Brand Stores.

Are you our next Project Manager, Brand Operations - Retail EMEA ?

  • You have 3+ years of experience in a project management or tactical execution role, preferably in a retail environment or vertical brand
  • You have a bachelor’s degree or postsecondary education in Marketing or a related field
  • You are able to lead, plan and deliver multiple projects at one time and oversee work schedules and calendars across various resources
  • You have excellent ability to influence without direct control
  • You have strong knowledge with working with creative teams and you are versed with graphic, video, and digital assets management
  • You have strong knowledge of marketing and events project team management and experience working with production vendors
  • You have a relentless attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • You have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • You have a positive, can-do attitude with an ability to inspire and lead a project team of varied roles/responsibilities
  • You remain highly flexible, thrive in ambiguity and work well under pressure
  • You are comfortable working with, or learning new, project management tools ( e.g. Smartsheet, Monday.com, Box.com)
  • You are comfortable managing stakeholders of all levels and facilitating complex decision-making
  • You are responsive and action-oriented while ensuring alignment with our core strategic pillars and brand guidelines
  • You think ahead, ask strategic questions and, most importantly, you value relationships and have fun in your work
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right
  • You are willing and able to travel
  • You can communicate professionally in English, German or French is an asset
  • Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living
