Job Description

Do you have experience from business consulting or strategic analysis and thrive on delivering value to clients within market expansion and growth? Do you enjoy working in complex stakeholder environments at the intersection of business and public sector, engaging with executives, government representatives, and key decision-makers? We are now looking for a Project Manager to join our engaged team in Bangkok.

As Project Manager at Business Sweden, you will lead and deliver projects to support Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion journeys. We provide advisory services within the areas of Growth Advisory, M&A, Supply Chain and Public Affairs, and we support with implementing the strategies we build, which include both strategic advice and analysis, as well as hands-on local support.

As part of our trade promotion assignment, we build strategic platforms that we use to position Swedish competency and Swedish companies in sectors and areas of Swedish strengths. As part of our investment promotion assignment, we support foreign companies to make high quality investments and expand in Sweden.

The Project Manager position encompasses a diverse range of assignments and a high level of responsibility, making the work truly dynamic, challenging, and rewarding. The role includes strategic, tactical, and operational responsibilities across all of our assignments, and will require you to:

  • Drive sales of consultancy services to existing and new Swedish clients across our markets, including insight-driven prospecting and development of customer value propositions. This includes proactive sales driven both individually and as part of a sales team Interact with key stakeholders ranging from clients, governmental agencies, public sector stakeholders, colleagues, and team members across our 50+ global offices
  • Work proactively to bridge the gap between thai stakeholders and Swedish companies and organisations through our promotional platform work across prioritized sectors such as energy, manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, logistics and others.
  • Lead consultancy engagements across our service portfolio and markets – both of a strategic and hands-on nature
  • Lead investment and/or trade promotional platforms and engagements
  • Coach and support the development of junior colleagues

International experience through studies, work, or living abroad – particularly in Sweden – is considered a strong advantage. Any connection to Sweden, Swedish business culture, or Swedish institutions will be viewed positively. Experience from working with or managing relationships with local government stakeholders, public sector entities, or regulatory bodies is considered highly valuable for this role.

The role is based in Bangkok, but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.

Professional working proficiency in Thai and English is a requirement for this role.

Formal requirements

  • Master of Science in Business Administration or Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience from Management Consulting and Strategic Business Development
  • Experience from leading and coaching consultant teams and prior experience from an international environment, proven track record of successfully leading multinational project teams and working cross-border
  • Strong experience from one or more of our core consultancy service areas, including Growth Advisory, M&A and Supply Chain
  • Proven track record in sales and the ability to independently drive client dialogues, and take on full sales cycle responsibility
  • International experience through studies, work, or living abroad – particularly in Sweden – is considered a strong merit
  • Professional working proficiency in Thai and English is a requirement for this role, an additional language is an advantage.
