ANDRITZ has an immediate opportunity for a skilled Project Manager – Automation & Digitalization to lead medium to large automation and advanced process control initiatives from concept through completion. In this role, you will drive project planning, execution, and financial oversight while ensuring alignment with customer expectations, technical standards, and organizational objectives. As a key liaison between cross‑functional teams, vendors, and customers, you will foster strong partnerships, champion quality and safety, and guide projects toward successful, on‑time delivery. This position also plays an important role in mentoring junior team members, supporting proposal development, and advancing continuous improvement in project management practices, all while demonstrating and reinforcing #1ANDRITZway values.

What You Will Be Doing

Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:

  • Lead medium to large, complex automation, advanced process control projects from inception to completion, ensuring that scope, timelines, and budgets are met.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining objectives, scope, milestones, deliverables, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
  • Identify and assess project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing effective mitigation and contingency strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment and on-time delivery of project milestones.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and the customer, ensuring clear communication of project objectives, progress, and deliverables.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to support effective collaboration and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage procurement and vendor activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials, components, and solutions in accordance with technical specifications.
  • Develop and control project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Provide regular project updates and financial reporting to stakeholders and senior leadership, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure delivery of reliable, secure, and compliant industrial control and automation systems.
  • Oversee system testing, validation, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with industry standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, technical reports, and close-out documentation in accordance with company and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and deliver training programs for end-users and support teams to ensure successful system adoption and operational readiness.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and technologists, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Support proposal development and identification of opportunities for expanded automation or digital solutions within project scope.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project management processes and tools, incorporating lessons learned and promoting best practices.

What We’re Looking For

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Automation, Mechatronics, or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in advanced process control or industrial automation
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management; PMP certification an asset
  • Experience in the Mining & Mineral Processing industry an asset
  • Solid understanding of digitalization technologies such as advanced process control (APC), industrial automation and networking, data analytics, and IIoT platforms
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Effective verbal, and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Proficient with project management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Legally authorized to work in Saudi Arabia
  • Ability and willingness to travel to domestic and international locations is a must

Language & Location Requirements

  • Fluency in English is required
  • Arabic language skills are a strong asset
  • Position may be based in Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia or Dubai, UAE
