This is an exciting time to join Dematic’s team as a driven Project Manager to support the delivery of automated warehousing and distribution centre projects across NSW, VIC, QLD, and NZ. Based in Sydney/Melbourne/NZ, you will play a key role in delivering strategically important, high-value projects within a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Operating in a fast-paced, technically complex environment, you will manage multiple project streams while working closely with engineering, supply chain, and site teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

This is a hands-on role offers strong exposure across the project lifecycle, from planning and scheduling through to execution, commissioning, and customer handover.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

You will contribute to successful project delivery through:

  • Supporting end-to-end delivery of automated warehouse and DC projects

  • Developing and maintaining integrated project plans, schedules, budgets

  • Interpreting contracts to align scope, deliverables, timelines

  • Managing project schedules, identifying critical path activities, driving on-time delivery

  • Coordinating with engineering, procurement, supply chain teams ensuring timely delivery of materials and services

  • Managing project financials, cost forecasting, tracking, budget adherence

  • Supporting contract management, variations, supplier performance

  • Monitoring and managing project risks, issues, change impacts

  • Facilitating stakeholder communication, reporting, alignment across project teams

  • Supporting commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, customer acceptance

  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to quality standards

Tasks and Qualifications:

SETTING YOU UP FOR SUCCESS

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related disciplines

  • Proven experience delivering complex engineering, automation, or MHS projects

  • Background in warehouse automation, MHS, FMCG, high-speed packaging, or integrated engineering environments

  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple projects in fast-paced environment

  • Strong project planning and scheduling capability

  • Ability to interpret contracts, scope, and technical project requirements

  • Experience managing project budgets, costs, and commercial performance

  • Ability to interpret AutoCAD layouts and system designs

  • Proficiency with MS Project or similar project management tools

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage internal and external stakeholders

  • Analytical mindset with solid problem-solving capability

  • Willingness to travel across project sites in Australia and New Zealand
