Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of assigned banking projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, timelines, and governance standards
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between consulting firm, client stakeholders, and third-party vendors to ensure smooth execution
  • Develop and maintain project plans, scope, schedules, and resource allocation in coordination with client teams
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful delivery
  • Facilitate project meetings, steering committee sessions, and provide progress updates to internal and client management
  • Oversee solution design, testing, and deployment phases, ensuring quality and alignment with objectives
  • Support change management and stakeholder communication initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to client methodologies, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and guide project team members, including consultants and client staff, to foster collaboration and productivity
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a Project Management Office (PMO) role in banking industry.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end application upgrade projects
  • Experience in managing enterprise software applications, application modernization, system implementation, or application upgrade initiatives.
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end software application lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.
  • Strong understanding of software application delivery frameworks, including Waterfall and Agile practices.
  • Experience managing application upgrade, migration, modernization, or cloud/SaaS transformation projects within complex enterprise environments.
  • Experience overseeing software vendors, development teams, system integrators, and technical delivery partners.
  • Ability to evaluate technical solutions and provide governance over application quality, security, performance, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Japanese language proficiency is advantageous for liaising with Japanese-speaking business stakeholders and regional teams.
