ElectraNet builds, owns, operates, and maintains the South Australian high voltage electricity transmission network that delivers energy from generators to distributors and major load-connected customers, enabling power to be supplied to homes, businesses, and communities. The Opportunity

We are seeking both Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to join our team and play a key role in delivering a portfolio of significant infrastructure projects. These positions offer the opportunity to lead projects across the full lifecycle, from planning and procurement through to construction, commissioning and handover, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

As either a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and driving delivery excellence. Depending on your level of experience, you will lead projects of varying complexity, with Senior Project Managers taking ownership of larger, more integrated and strategically significant projects while also providing expert guidance and mentoring across the project management function.

Based in Adelaide, this full-time role will also cover the following key responsibilities:

  • Leading and coordinating project teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables
  • Managing project scope, scheduled, budgets, resources and project controls across multiple concurrent projects
  • Identifying, assessing and mitigating project and business risks while proactively seeking opportunities for improvement
  • Establishing and maintaining effective project governance and reporting frameworks
  • Managing design, construction and commissioning activities, ensuring successful project delivery and handover
  • Negotiating, implementing and administering contracts with clients, contractors, consultants and suppliers
  • Managing procurement activities and supplier relationships to ensure quality, value and timely delivery outcomes
  • Driving compliance with health, safety, environment, cultural heritage, legislative and project methodology requirements
  • Leading change management processes and effectively managing project variations and commercial impacts
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and influencing outcomes across diverse internal and external groups
  • Conducting site visits, progress reviews and construction surveillance activities to validate project performance and compliance
  • Supporting the development of project management capability through knowledge sharing, mentoring and leadership (Senor Project Manager level)

About You

You bring strong commercial acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills and a commitment to achieving project outcomes safely and efficiently. Whether you are an experienced Project Manager looking for your next challenge or a seasoned Senior Project Manager seeking the opportunity to lead large-scale, high-impact projects, you thrive in environments where you can influence outcomes, solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation to completion
  • Strong knowledge of project methodologies and tools, including PMBOK, WBS, critical path scheduling and earned value management
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks and project controls
  • Well-developed contract management and procurement experience, including managing contractors and vendors
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Proven leadership capability with the ability to motivate, influence and develop high-performing teams
  • Strong risk management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex environments
  • Experience ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business or a related discipline
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian institute of Project Management (AIPM)

Highly regarded skills include:

  • Experience delivering high-voltage, electrical, transmission or other major infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of transmission networks and relevant industry frameworks, including the National Electricity Rules, ESCOSA and AEMO guidelines
  • Experience managing complex, integrated or large-scale capital projects
  • Electricity industry experience
  • 5+ years’ project management experience (Project Manager level) or 10+ years’ project management experience (Senior Project Manager level)

For the Project Manager level, we are proud to offer a starting base salary of $160,900pa plus 12% superannuation and bonus eligibility of up to 15%. For the Senior Project Manager level, we are proud to offer a starting base salary of $175,900pa plus 12% superannuation and bonus eligibility of up to 15%.
