ABOUT AMETRIS

Ametris, a Signant Health company, is a global leader in wearable-based digital outcome measures for clinical trials. With two decades of experience and involvement in 285+ industry-sponsored clinical trials, Ametris transforms real-world patient data into validated clinical evidence across neuroscience, oncology, sleep medicine, and metabolic disease.

ROLE PURPOSE

The Academic Project Manager serves as a key contributor within Ametris's Academic Sales team, managing all aspects of client deliverables for studies utilizing Ametris technology. This role is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of academic and public health client engagements — from evaluating workflows and solutions to managing key accounts and complex projects. The Academic PM is ultimately accountable for overall project quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction, and may serve as a first-line resource and mentor to more junior project managers.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  1. Direct, coordinate, and report on multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery and high-quality outcomes
  2. Serve as the primary point of contact for academic and public health research clients, maintaining consistent and proactive communication
  3. Assemble and drive cross-functional project teams, identify required resources, and deliver detailed project milestones and deliverables
  4. Resolve project issues and risks in a timely manner, escalating as appropriate and reporting on mitigating actions taken
  5. Manage key accounts and more complex project engagements, including multi-phase academic studies and large research organizations
  6. Implement customer training programs via phone, webinar, or on-site to support effective use of Ametris technology
  7. Conduct on-site and web-based demonstrations of Ametris platforms and systems
  8. Collaborate with customer support teams to resolve advanced product-related issues and escalate when necessary
  9. Facilitate communication between the commercial team and clients for change order requests and scope adjustments
  10. Maintain and update internal project management systems to ensure accurate company knowledge and project records
  11. Represent Ametris at domestic and international trade shows and academic conferences as needed
  12. Mentor and support more junior project managers, serving as a first-line resource for guidance and escalation
  13. Cultivate inter-departmental relationships and promote a collaborative, positive work environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

Essential:

  1. Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a project management role, preferably managing technology implementation projects
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of full lifecycle project implementation methodologies
  3. Strong ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously under time constraints
  4. Outstanding time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  5. Strong interpersonal communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to represent the organization professionally to external stakeholders including academic institutions, government agencies, and public health organizations
  6. Proven track record of driving cross-functional teams to meet aggressive deadlines
  7. Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
  8. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a rapidly evolving environment

Desirable:

  1. Experience working in Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Academia, or Public Health settings
  2. Familiarity with wearable technology or digital health platforms
  3. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM/ticketing systems
  4. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Operations, Health Sciences, Sports Science, or Kinesiology; relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
  5. Domestic and international travel experience
