The California Collaborative for Public Health Research (CPR3) advances public health through research, partnerships, and evidence-informed strategies that strengthen collaboration among academic institutions, public health agencies, healthcare organizations, and community partners. CPR3 supports initiatives that translate research into practice and improve the health and well-being of California communities.
The Public Health for All Californians Together (PHACT) Coalition, co-led by the California Department of Public Health, Covered California, and CPR3, is a statewide network of more than 1,400 members representing over 400 organizations committed to strengthening evidence-based public health policy, service delivery, and culturally responsive communication. While the Coalition's current priorities include immunization policy, vaccine access, coverage, and culturally responsive communication, its broader mission is to strengthen public health infrastructure, safeguard scientific integrity, and promote equitable access to life-saving preventive services for all Californians.
The CPR3 Project Manager will provide day-to-day operations support, including project management, communications, stakeholder engagement, and strategic coordination for the PHACT Coalition and other CPR3 initiatives. Reporting to the CPR3 Director of Operations and Strategy, the incumbent will provide program management, knowledge management, and program and policy analysis support to the PHACT Coalition Community Partnerships Working Group. The incumbent will lead planning and execution of bi-monthly coalition meetings, including agenda development, speaker coordination, meeting logistics, preparation of meeting materials, facilitation, and post-meeting follow-up.
In collaboration with Coalition leadership, the incumbent will develop and implement communications strategies that keep members informed of emerging public health issues, promote engagement across the statewide network, and increase coalition visibility. Responsibilities include developing newsletters and other communications, maintaining coalition communication platforms, supporting dissemination of evidence-based resources, and identifying opportunities to strengthen partner engagement.
The position will also support coalition membership management, stakeholder engagement, donor reporting, and tracking of project milestones and deliverables. The incumbent will build and maintain productive relationships with state and local public health agencies, academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and community-based organizations while contributing to the continuous improvement of coalition operations and workflows.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills and contribute to the continued growth and impact of the PHACT Coalition. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 or more years of experience in program management, public health communications, and collaboration with academic institutions, public health agencies, and community-based organizations. Experience supporting multi-sector partnerships and statewide initiatives is highly desirable. An MPH or related graduate degree is preferred but not required.
