ISO New England is the independent system operator responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable flow of electricity in our region and planning for the future of the electric grid. We are at the forefront of New England’s ongoing transition to clean energy.

ISO New England is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives that support technology modernization, operational improvements, market systems, enterprise applications, and business transformation efforts across the organization.

This role works closely with stakeholders throughout the company to plan, coordinate, and execute projects that deliver meaningful business outcomes. Successful candidates are organized, proactive, relationship-oriented leaders who take ownership of their projects and help teams navigate complex challenges from initiation through implementation.

How you will make an Impact

• Lead projects through the full project lifecycle, including planning, execution, implementation, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, and resource plans.
• Facilitate project meetings, workshops, and decision-making discussions to maintain project momentum and accountability.
• Partner with stakeholders across Information Technology, Market Operations, System Operations, Settlements, System Planning and other business areas to ensure successful project delivery.
• Identify and proactively address project risks, obstacles, dependencies, and competing priorities.
• Communicate project status, key decisions, and significant issues to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support organizational prioritization efforts by providing project insight and delivery expertise.
• Contribute to lessons learned, continuous improvement activities, and best practices within the Project Management organization.

What we are looking for

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or other relevant field.
• Project Management Professional (PMP), CAPM, Agile, Scrum Master, or equivalent certification is preferred
• Experience leading projects involving multiple stakeholders, teams, or departments.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build productive working relationships and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining accountability for project outcomes.
• Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and commitment to delivering results.
• Desired but Not Required:
• Experience leading technology, operational improvement, enterprise application, or business process initiatives.
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), enterprise applications, cloud technologies, or business systems.
• Experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, including Jira, Advanced Roadmaps, and Confluence

The expected salary range for this position is $97,000 - $120,000 per year. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental and vision), flexible spending and health savings accounts, a 401(k) plan with generous employer contributions and a student debt benefit, life and AD&D insurance, disability insurance, critical illness and hospital indemnity benefits, paid time off, paid leave, a wellness program, an employee assistance program and other great company perks.
