COMPANY PROFILE:

AgTexas Farm Credit Services serves and supports approximately 2,600 member/borrowers in areas of lending, insurance sales, appraisal, and/or leasing. Eleven office locations can be found throughout the Association's 43-county trade territory, and the association has an average loan volume of approximately $2.85 billion, with total assets equaling $3.2 billion. The lending portfolio consists of cotton, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate, and ag-related business loans. Additionally, the association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed. Without strong financial backing farmers and ranchers will not survive, and people will not have food to eat or clothes to wear. AgTexas provides reliable credit and crop insurance to our member-owners, so they can feed and clothe the world.

POSITION:

The Project Manager position is located in Amarillo, TX with a salary that is negotiable, depending upon experience. This position is responsible for planning and coordinating approved projects, aligning stakeholders, tracking progress, and guiding work through implementation and closeout.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, technology, operations, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience should include planning and coordinating cross-functional projects, facilitating stakeholder decisions, managing risks and dependencies, and supporting implementation. PMP, CAPM, or a comparable credential is beneficial but not required.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, administrative, and communication skills are required. Strong ability to define project scope, develop practical plans, coordinate work across departments, facilitate meetings, document decisions, track commitments, and maintain visibility into risks, issues, timelines, and resource needs. Must be able to build accountability without formal authority, adjust plans as conditions change, and communicate effectively with employees, leaders, technology teams, and vendors. Experience with Microsoft 365 and project or work-management tools such as Asana is preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

• Partners with project sponsors, department leaders, and subject-matter experts to define project objectives, scope, expected outcomes, responsibilities, and measures of success.
• Develops and maintains project plans, workstreams, milestones, timelines, dependencies, resources, and decision points.
• Coordinates cross-functional work from discovery and planning through testing, implementation, follow-up, and closeout.
• Facilitates project meetings and working sessions, documents decisions, and ensures owners understand commitments and next steps.
• Tracks project health, deliverables, action items, risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes; follows up and escalates concerns as appropriate.
• Provides concise status reporting and timely information needed by project sponsors and leaders to make decisions.
• Coordinates business testing, issue resolution, implementation, launch readiness, stabilization, and transition activities.
• Partners with Training and Enablement and business leaders to prepare employees for changes to systems, processes, tools, or responsibilities.
• Promotes consistent project-management practices, tools, templates, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across AgTexas.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Frequent interaction with project sponsors, association departmental staff, subject-matter experts, and management. Occasional interaction with association senior management, Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff, technology teams, and external vendors. Frequent coordination across departments to support decisions, manage dependencies, and move approved work forward.
