Title: Agile Project Manager

Our IT team plays an integral role in accelerating this exciting journey and our Innovation Capability Solutions & Services (ICSS) is the home of over 400 new Takeda employees who will work to create and deliver the products and technologies that will enable these foundational aspirations.

The opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with an agile background. We’re looking for someone with Agile project management experience and a strong grasp of data-related projects—ideally someone whose strengths lie more in Agile PM than in deep data expertise alone. As a pivotal member of our ICSS team, you will play a critical role in driving the successful implementation of solutions across our matrixed organization. Responsibilities:

• Collaborate seamlessly with multiple teams across our matrixed organization, acting as a bridge between technical and business stakeholders to deliver integrated and impactful solutions.
• Leverage your Project Management experiance to guide and mentor teams throughout the project lifecycle, facilitating smooth execution and delivery of IT projects in an agile framework focused someone with sound Agile PM experience and a good understanding of data projects, rather than someone with strong data experience but less Agile PM experience.
  • Translate Data, Digital, and Technology (DD&T) and AI & Data strategic priorities into actionable transformation initiatives, structured plans, and clear deliverables.
  • Lead the definition, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of process frameworks, operating standards, templates, and methodologies related to AI & Data services.
  • Oversee the AI & Data Service & Product Catalog, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with Takeda’s enterprise service landscape.
  • Facilitate the generation, prioritization, and evaluation of improvement or innovation ideas for AI & Data services.
  • Ensure adoption of approved AI & Data processes, tools, methods, and standards across all service delivery activities.
  • Monitor performance, process adherence, and delivery quality for AI & Data service components; identify remediation actions where needed.
• Analyze project complexities and variables, making informed decisions on methodology application, while continuously assessing and adapting strategies for maximum efficiency.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, driving the refinement of processes, methodologies, and best practices based on evolving industry trends and lessons learned from past projects.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in different locations, fostering effective communication, knowledge sharing, and alignment to achieve project milestones and goals.
• Manage project budget, track expenses and report financial performance ensuring financial efficiency of the assigned project.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required:

• Proven track record of 6 to 8 years leading data-related project in Agile environment and the ability to navigate complexities and deliver optimal outcomes.
• Strong proficiency in collaborating with multiple teams within a matrixed organization to drive successful solution implementations.
• A deep understanding of various software development models, along with the ability to effectively manage agile projects based on project context.
• Ability to mentor project team stakeholders for effective implementation of scrum framework.
• Excellent communication skills, allowing you to facilitate discussions, present ideas clearly, and foster collaboration among diverse stakeholders.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset, coupled with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Relevant certifications in agile project management, IT delivery, or agile methodologies are a plus.
• Ability to define, optimize, and introduce new processes, standards, and operational frameworks

Desired Qualifications:

• Pharmaceutical Experience: Preferred for understanding industry nuances.
• Domain Expertise: Life Sciences or Social Sciences proficiency.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FDA cGMP/GLP regulations.
• Willing to work in Shifts with US Business Unit
