The product group EV in BU 2-Wheeler & Powersports is looking for a Project Manager in Bengaluru, India for electrification projects.
To support growth in electrification product development activities, a position has been opened. You will be part of a team that contributes to the development and adaptation of electrification solutions for the 2-Wheeler & Powersport product line.
The Project Manager will lead the development of electronic components for EV two-wheelers, with a focus on Battery Management Systems (BMS) and eDCU (an integration of inverter and Vehicle Control Units (VCU)). The role covers the full product adaptation to customer requiremets leading the development through design, validation until industrialization.
The position is responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with technical, quality, and customer/stakeholder requirements. It requires close coordination with development, validation, quality, manufacturing, purchasing, and supplier teams. The development teams are spread across India and France, so strong coordination, communication, and follow-up across international sites are essential.
• Lead product development projects until industrialization and start of production.
• Manage and coordinate customer relationship, ensuring clear communication, alignment in project expectations and timely resolution of problems.
• Define and maintain project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, risks, and resource requirements.
• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and status reports.
• Drive business plan and financial calculations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams in hardware, software, system integration, validation, quality, and industrialization.
• Monitor project progress and ensure actions are completed on time.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies early; define and track mitigation actions.
• Support prototype builds, design reviews, testing, validation, and release activities.
• Coordinate industrialization readiness, supplier alignment, and launch support.
• Manage change requests, documentation, and configuration tracking.
• Report project status clearly to internal management and customers.
• Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering in either Electronics, Automotive, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Experience in project management within automotive, e-mobility, or electronic product development.
• Knowledge of BMS, inverter, VCU, ECU, or similar control electronics is strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of product development from concept to industrialization.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methods.
• Knowledge of automotive processes such as APQP, PPAP, and phase-gate development is an advantage.
