Are you a proactive and results-oriented Project Manager looking to make a tangible impact in an industrial environment? At Sibelco, you’ll take ownership of CAPEX projects from initial concept through commissioning and handover, working closely with operations, engineering and other key stakeholders. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of CAPEX projects across our operations in the Cine cluster. You will manage projects of different sizes, from operational needs identification and feasibility through investment justification, budgeting, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and final handover. You will work closely with production, maintenance, engineering, HSE, finance and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and in line with business objectives.

Your Impact In this Role

As Project Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • End-to-End Project Management

    • Manage CAPEX projects ranging from EUR 10K to EUR 10M across all project phases, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, commissioning and closure.

    • Translate operational and technical needs into clear project scopes, feasibility studies and investment justifications.

    • Prepare, manage and control project budgets, schedules, resource plans and cost estimates.

    • Lead and coordinate engineering and project design activities across relevant disciplines.

  • Procurement, Construction & Commissioning

    • Manage procurement and tendering processes for equipment, materials and services.

    • Coordinate on-site construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities.

    • Monitor contractor performance, project progress and milestone payments.

    • Manage project close-out, final documentation and handover to operations.

  • Quality, Safety & Compliance

    • Ensure projects meet applicable quality, safety, legal and regulatory requirements.

    • Coordinate permitting and administrative requirements with relevant authorities and stakeholders.

    • Ensure Sibelco project management standards, tools and processes are effectively implemented throughout CAPEX projects.

  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Projects

    • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, plant performance and project execution.

    • Lead lessons learned and share project management best practices.

    • Initiate and support maintenance, repair, process optimization and production-related improvement projects.

    • Collaborate with production, maintenance and engineering teams to implement sustainable technical solutions.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mining or another relevant technical field.

  • At least 4 years of project management experience within an industrial production environment.

  • Solid hands-on experience with CAPEX projects and engineering in mining, industrial minerals or another relevant industrial environment such as cement, aggregates, chemicals, glass, ceramics, metals or heavy manufacturing.

  • Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting and cost control, engineering coordination, procurement, contractor management, construction and commissioning.

  • Experience with feasibility studies, business cases and project risk management.

  • Proactive, pragmatic and results-oriented, with strong ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong continuous improvement mindset; Lean or Six Sigma experience or certification is an advantage.

  • Proficiency with project management and technical tools, including MS Project; experience with technical drawings and AutoCAD is an advantage.

  • Strong professional proficiency in both Turkish and English

About the Role

This is an individual contributor role working closely with the Operations Director and with production, maintenance, process, HSE, quarry and finance teams. You will take direct ownership of industrial projects within the cluster and have the opportunity to see their impact firsthand, from initial idea through successful implementation.

  • Take ownership of varied CAPEX and operational improvement projects.

  • Work directly with multidisciplinary teams in a hands-on industrial environment.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement across our operations.

  • Be part of an international organization while making a tangible impact at site level.

  • This is an on-site role based in the Aydın/Cine area in Türkiye Candidates currently based in other locations, including Istanbul or Izmir, are welcome to apply, with relocation to the Aydın/Cine area expected.
