Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a leading civils and utilities contractor based in Kilkenny, overseeing works on a long-term Irish Water framework project across the Midlands and South East region. The successful candidate will be based in the Kilkenny office, with regular travel to site as required. This role involves managing multiple civil infrastructure and utility packages, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in water infrastructure, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage teams and stakeholders across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of civil and utility works under the Irish Water framework.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with programme, budget, and quality standards.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental procedures across all sites.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including reports, schedules, and cost tracking.
• Lead regular site meetings and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture across the project team.

Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience managing large-scale civils or utilities projects, ideally within water infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of Irish Water standards and framework delivery.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractor performance.
• Full clean driving licence and flexibility to travel to multiple sites as required.
