Job Description

Our client, a Tier 1 Main Contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager for a long-term surgical hub project based in Cork City This high-profile healthcare development will play a key role in expanding regional medical infrastructure. The successful candidate will lead the project from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, commercial awareness, and a proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead the overall delivery of the surgical hub project, ensuring it is completed on time, within budget, and to specification.
2. Coordinate and manage all site activities, subcontractors, and suppliers.
3. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and progress reports.
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
5. Liaise with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
6. Monitor project costs and implement cost-control measures.
7. Oversee quality assurance and ensure all works meet the required standards.
8. Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
9. Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management.

Requirements:

1. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in a Project Manager role, ideally with a Tier 1 contractor.
3. Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial or healthcare projects.
4. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
5. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
6. Full clean driver’s licence and flexibility to work in Cork City.
