Your Team
You will be part of the ISC ITT/Pharma Engineering team, based in Malta and supporting manufacturing sites across EMEA and APAC. The team leads product design, material change, and cost-optimization projects end-to-end, partnering closely with different functions.
Your Role & Impact
The Project Manager provides business and technical leadership for one or more projects within the MIP project teams through the identification, justification, prioritization, initiation, development, and implementation processes. This individual leads teams in financial analysis, including market research, cash flow analysis, capital planning, and project cost evaluation. The Project Manager ensures effective communication with stakeholders and business partners.
The Project Manager leads the core team in defining milestones to achieve launch-date commitments and identifying issues and risks associated with project plans. The Project Manager establishes and leads cross-functional teams, ensuring they are positioned for successful project delivery. The role partners closely with Procurement, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Suppliers to identify, validate, and implement cost-optimization opportunities while maintaining product performance, regulatory compliance, and supply continuity.
Success in this role will be measured through the delivery of project milestones, achievement of cost-optimization targets, effective risk management, and the successful implementation of compliant product and process changes.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and evaluate cost-optimization opportunities across materials, components, and processes throughout ITP sites, with a specific focus on insourcing, alternate sourcing, and process and product value engineering.
• Lead cross-functional technical teams through the planning and execution of projects.
• Lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority across multiple functions and geographic locations.
• Develop and maintain accurate project schedules, drive execution with the core team, and coordinate technical support groups.
• Support change-control processes, validation activities, and implementation planning.
• Identify and communicate project risks, develop risk mitigation plans, and lead proactive risk response strategies.
• Anticipate potential conflicts, develop proactive solutions, and manage conflict situations to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes
What You'll Bring
Minimum 5 years of experience having a Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (Mechanical, Materials, Plastics, Chemicals, Packaging, Manufacturing or related field)
Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a matrix organization.
Strong skills in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and executive stakeholder communication.
Candidates with experience in regulated industries such as medical, pharma and automotive will be given preference
Experience leading cross-functional projects end-to-end using structured project management methods
Strong communication skills and cross-functional influence skills.
Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10% of the time based on business needs).

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and westrive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The minimum salary for this position is €36.000 annually. Your initial pay could be at the minimum or higher based on skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors, all of which are subject to change. This position may also be eligible for competitive benefits, discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
