JOBSUMMARY
This position is responsiblefor leading and coordinating thedevelopmentactivitiesassociatedwithtransmissionlineandsubstationcapitalconstructionprojectsforassignedterritories in Georgia. On the Project Development team, the Project Manager takes the project from the origination/solution phase through the budget approval before project execution. During this period of the project, the Development Project Manager will manage the scoping process, the conceptual design activities, preliminary outage planning, and the initial budget approval request. Additionally, the Project Managermonitorsprojectprogress,schedules,andbudgetswithspecialattentiontoareasidentifiedashigh-risk,overseestheprojectchangemanagementprocess,andconductspostprojectreviewsandshareslessonslearned.

Coordinatethedesign,engineering,procurement,landacquisition,andconstructionactivitiesformultipletransmissionlineandsubstationprojectsinageographicterritory.IncludescoordinationwiththeIntegratedTransmissionSystem(ITS)andGeneration
Provideregularupdates/communication statusof projects(i.e.Management,Regions,TMCs,ITSpartners, Customers).Provideproactivecommunicationwhenproblemsarisethatwillimpactcosts,schedule,ortheexternalpublic.
Monitorandanalyzeprojectexpenditurestoprovidemanagementwithprojectedmonthly,year-end,andtotalprojectcosts.Includesmanagingscopechangesandgainingproperapprovalbeforeconstruction.
Identifyneededtasks,milestones,andresourcerequirementsfor assignedprojects.Balancecostconstraints, schedules,environmentalrequirements,regulatoryrequirements,andcommunityimpactswithTransmissionsystemrequirementsinordertomeettheprojectneeddate.
Monitorandanalyzeprogressoneachprojecttoidentifyandnegotiatechangeswithinternalandexternalparties.
Adjustsworkplansandresourcerequirementsaschangesoccur.Implementsthechangemanagementprocesseffectively.
Routepaperworkexpeditiouslyto ensureproperbudgetaryapprovalsareobtained.
