The Opportunity:


CACI is looking for a Project Manager to join our Space Line of Business, supporting our Optical & Photonic Systems team -- we are expanding! With a core technology base that includes high-speed electro-optics, fiber optics, and high-power lasers, our laser communications technology is helping NASA provide high-definition video from the International Space Station, and to explore asteroids 250 million miles away. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) utilizing MS Project.
  • Maximize program performance through active schedule, cost, and risk management.
  • Work with team members to define, baseline, and manage work scope.
  • Implement Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for assigned projects.
  • Provide baseline budget and schedule estimates for projects.
  • Work with people managers to identify resources and perform project resource planning.
  • Perform IMS tracking, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA), and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Perform critical path analysis, track progress against baselines, perform what-if analyses, and develop contingency plans.
  • Work with Cost Account Managers (CAMs) and Program Leads to record and track Earned Value metrics and perform Estimates To Complete (ETCs).
  • Lead Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings and facilitate tracking/completion of action items.
  • Lead project Risk Management Board (RMB) meetings to identify, manage, and mitigate risks, opportunities, and issues.
  • Collect, organize, and analyze key program performance and planning data.
  • Develop weekly and monthly progress reports on all assigned projects.
  • Support proposal activity to ensure accurate estimates based on similar-to information from other programs.


Qualifications:

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in project planning/management, or an equivalent combination of education, skills and experience
  • Strong desire to lead teams in planning and executing to a program schedule and budget.
  • 5+ Project Management concepts and techniques.
  • Significant experience with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) scheduling utilizing MS Project or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of program financial concepts, including P&L, MR, ROS, etc.
  • 3+ yeats of Earned Value Management System techniques and reporting.
  • Strong organization skills, accuracy, attention to detail and a high degree of initiative.
  • Strong oral communication including the ability to express ideas and information and facilitate an open exchange of ideas.
  • Solid written communication skills with the ability to express facts and ideas in writing in a succinct and organized manner.
  • Strong team collaboration and analytical skills with ability to execute and follow-through on tasks to completion.
  • Demonstrated problem solving to include the ability to identify and analyze problems; use sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions; find alternative solutions to complex problems; distinguish between relevant and irrelevant information to make logical judgments.
  • Requires a high degree of independent thought and decision making.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • US Citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance


Desired:

  • Experience managing electronics product development that includes hardware, firmware and software content.
  • Active TS or TS/SCI security clearance highly desired.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. Since this position can be worked in more than one location, the range shown is the national average for the position.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$68,400-$143,700
